Background
Nikoo was born in Shiraz, Iran, and grew up in New York and Tennessee. She developed an interest in medicine while working at an eye (retina) specialty clinic in Tennessee. It was an introduction to the interconnectedness of the parts of the body, and the idea that the body must be viewed as a whole for healing to take place. She observed that our struggles with illness and pain, though challenging, have the potential to unite us in our shared experiences and align us with our truest selves. Nikoo enjoys coffee talk with friends, brunching, gardening, afternoon tea, listening to podcasts, and watching movies with her dog.
